For treatment of bronchitis and tracheitis in folk medicine cherry juice is also applied for cough relief and as an expectorant. For treatment of hepatitis a decoction of leaves is used. The recipe is simple: pour a glass of milk into 10 g of dry ground material, boil on low heat for 30 minutes, strain, and take 0,3 glass 3 times a day.

Decoction of young cherry branches produce a good effect and are proscribed at chronic colitis. Cherry fruits are used as a remedy for anemia. Thanks to a significant amount of iron and Vitamin C cherry juice strengthen blood capillary, it can lower high blood pressure, and raise the body resistance to negative factors.

Cherry-berries are widely used in cooking. Jam, jelly, stewed fruits, fools, mousses, fillings for pies, pastries, cakes and tarts can be cooked with them. Not only fresh cherry fruits are used. You can dry them; or cook jam, stewed fruit, jellies and syrups, fruit drinks and fine liqueurs, cordials and wine. Cherry leaves are used for pickling vegetables.

Nutritionists have developed a cherry diet. It helps strengthening of the immune system, fast and safe weight loss. The benefit of the diet lies in the fact that eating cherries as the main food product lowers blood sugar level. The diet is designed for 2 weeks. During the day you need to eat 1 kilogram of cherries, and exclude flour products, sugar and alcohol. Regular consumption of the berries prevents deposition of fat in waist area.
